I've been playing bass for about 12 years, or so. I've
played in several bands. I was in a ska band called
Tom Servo
from Greensburg, Pennsylvania (my hometown). There are
some sound samples available on the page, if you'd like
to check out what once was.
My college band was called
Chicken Fried
Funk. We played a funk influenced hybrid of rock n'
roll that was guaranteed to get your booty movin'. There are still a
ton of great complete song mp3's on our home page. Below are
some songs I suggest checking out.
There are a bunch of covers on our
website (Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Meters, The Commodores)
that are also worth a look.
These songs were recorded at Great Tracks Recording in Cleveland
for our Demo entitled "Uh?"
The following were recorded at Closer Look Studios in Cleveland, OH:
If you need an mp3 player,
here's one for Windows. Search for a Mac equivalent

As for my rig, I play a
Fender Mexican Jazz Bass (black w/ white pick guard)
through a SWR Workingman's
Fifteen amplifier. I wouldn't trade it for anything.
It gives a punchy fat sound that can't be beat for its
price and portability.
